  2.  What is Green and Sustainable Cleaning?
    1. Green and Sustainable Cleaning provides for the use of green cleaning products that are effective together with sustainable practices that are environmentally friendly for top cleaning results. 
  3. Does Green and Sustainable Cleaning support the LEED-based prescribed cleaning the USGBC requires for all LEED buildings?
    1. Yes! SparkleTeam’s cleaning methodology adheres to the LEED building requirement.
  4. Can I obtain LEED-based prescriptive cleaning even if my facility is not LEED certified?
    1. Yes! SparkleTeam cleans every building as if it is a LEED Certified facility. 
  5. Do you service any other counties beside Broward County, Palm Beach County and North Miami Dade County, Florida?
    1. No. Currently SparkleTeam only offers commercial cleaning services in Broward and Palm Beach Counties. We only service North Miami area in Dade County. We do not service any other counties outside of Southeast Florida. 
  6. What locations do you serve?

  7. Do the cleaners speak English?
    1. Yes! SparkleTeam Service Providers are able to communicate effectively in English. 
  8. Are you licensed, bonded and insured?
    1. Yes! Every Service Provider is required to be licensed, bonded and insured. 
  9. What kind of training does SparkleTeam provide for the cleaning crews?
    1. Training is provided to SparkleTeam Service Providers and crew members by a third-party entity, taught by a LEED AP. Subsequent to this training, SparklTeam provides a cleaning review to supplement the training based on the specific facility. 
  10. Why don’t we smell any cleaning products?
    1. Green cleaning products do not contain fragrances or dyes, so they do not have a scent or color. 
  11. Can SparkleTeam provide consumables, such as paper goods so I don’t have to manage my inventory?
    1. SparkleTeam will gladly provide consumables at the locations we service and manage the inventory. We recommend using either bio-renewable or recycled paper goods; both are available in standard and upgraded quality with third party certification. Green options are also available for soap and trash liners. 

FAQs – Washroom Issues with Waterless Urinals and Floor Drains 

  1. Why is that the restrooms sometimes have a constant odor despite the frequent cleaning?
    1. Often times the odors in restrooms are sewer gases that come up from the floor drains. Flushing the drains with water on a frequent basis and adding an enzymatic product in the drain will lessen the smell/odor. To eliminate the odor, Green Drains provide a superior solution. The one-way valve is placed into the drain, thereby eliminating odors, providing a chemical-free solution that will last for years and is easy to install. Made from silicon, the valve skirts can also prevent flood damage.
  2. How do I eliminate the insects that often appear in commercial restrooms in South Florida that seem to come up from the floor drains?
    1. Floor drains provide a doorway for insects and the current solution is to pour water or chemicals down the drain on a frequent basis. The Green Drain blocks insects from entering through the drains due to the one-way valve technology, providing an effective low-maintenance and eco-friendly solution. 
  3. My company decided to reduce water usage and install waterless urinals, however, the odor is overwhelming even when replacing the manufacturer’s cartridge more frequently than recommended or adding more chemicals. Is there anything we can do to minimize or eliminate this urine odor problem caused by waterless urinals?
    1. The solution is to replace the manufacturer’s cartridge with a LiquidBreaker Green Cartridge. The Green Cartridge is a patented dual silicon skirt cartridge that eliminates odors and provides an easy clean with regular disinfectant and water. No special chemicals are required and the maintenance cost is much lower. 
  4. Building ownership installed waterless urinals, not realizing that the uric acid and struvite build-up in the plumbing would cause costly plumbing problems. Is it inevitable that we will have to remove these waterless urinals due to plumbing leaks from the uric acid and struvite build-up?
    1. Since the Green Cartridge uses regular disinfectant and water for daily cleaning, these liquids clean the plumbing and prevent the struvite build-up that will cause metal plumbing to leak or PVC plumbing to build-up sludge.   5. Does the Green Cartridge have a warranty?
    1. Yes! the Green Cartridge has a five year warranty. The replacement core has a 90 day warranty, however, if maintained properly, it can last up to one year.
