Special Floor Services

Maintaining the cleanliness of your carpets and floors is critical for projecting a professional image to clients, providing a comfortable work environment and ensuring the safety of employees, customers and visitors. At SparkleTeam, we offer a full range of carpet and floor care cleaning services to help you keep your office or building clean from the ground up. All services provided by SparkleTeam use USGBC’s LEED-based cleaning practices for a healthier and more sustainable work environment.

We understand each type of floor has unique requirements. Therefore, SparkleTeam crews have expertise in servicing a range of flooring surfaces, including:

Carpet Extraction

SparkleTeam crews have the necessary equipment, training and expertise to provide state of the art carpet extraction. SparkleTeam’s method for carpet extraction (cleaning) uses warm water and an accelerated hydrogen peroxide product, rather than soap or detergents that usually leave an oily residue in the carpet. With any service SparkleTeam provides, you can count on our Service Providers to use the USGBC’s LEED-based cleaning practices.

Tile & Grout Cleaning +  Sealant Application

Over time, tile and grout can become embedded with dirt and grime, making it very difficult to remove. Porcelain and ceramic tile, although traditionally non-porous surfaces, fade due to grime, dirt and/or heavy traffic. Grout is a porous material and is the biggest contributor to the retention of dirt and odors, especially in restrooms, which may also give a misrepresentation of your building or office. SparkleTeam tile and grout cleaning for commercial properties uses the proper techniques to effectively remove dirt and soil from deep in the grout lines.

SparkleTeam’s procedure uses an environmentally friendly tile and grout cleaner to pre-soak the tile and grout to lift dirt and grime. This prepares the tile and grout for a scrub using a low speed floor machine with appropriate brush and mechanically extracts the dirty solution. The final stage is a rinse using a neutral tile and grout cleaner. Sealant is optional, however, sealant will provide a long lasting cleanliness to certain floors.

VCT Floor Maintenance Program:

VCT: Strip & Refinish

When the finish on a VCT floor has exceeded its service life, it becomes porous and will hold dirt, grime and stains which can no longer be removed with mopping alone. Over time, VCT flooring can look faded with discolorations, dents or ridges from furniture, and scuff marks due to moving furniture. To freshen the office or building’s VCT flooring, SparkleTeam crews offer a flawless and high quality strip and refinish with environmentally friendly products and solutions.

SparkleTeam’s restoration process uses a safe  stripper and then uses a low speed scrubbing machine to emulsify the finish. Once the finish is removed, our crews use a neutral floor cleaner and apply foura base coat or sealer for a finished look.

VCT: Scrub & Re-Coat

Rather than stripping VCT floors to the tile base, SparkleTeam’s Scrub & Re-Coat maintenance program removes the top layer of finish with a neutral cleaner and specialized floor machine.  After removing the dirty solution and rinsing the floor, a fresh coat of finish is applied, allowing the coat to dry thoroughly. This sustainable maintenance program for VCT floors should be performed monthly, bi-monthly or quarterly, depending on the floor traffic.

LVT/Vinyl Plank: Machine Scrub + Sealant Application

Newer types of vinyl floors, including laminate, although traditionally non-porous, fade with the accumulation of grime and dirt or heavy foot traffic, resulting in a build-up of dirt and odor. Floors are pre-soaked with an environmentally friendly floor cleaner as required by the condition of the floor to allow emulsification of dirt and grime.Followed by scrubbing with a low-speed floor machine and the extraction of the dirty solution, floors are left clean.  We recommend using a floor sealant on many types of vinyl plank, which seals the floors, extending the life of the clean shine, given the protection of a sealant.

The Importance of Floor Care In South Florida

In South Florida’s commercial buildings, floors are subjected to constant wear and tear from the bustling activity of businesses, visitors, and employees. This high level of foot traffic can quickly take a toll on flooring surfaces, leading to scratches, scuffs, and overall deterioration if left unchecked. Without proper care and maintenance, floors can deteriorate prematurely, requiring costly repairs or replacement. Regular cleaning as well as specialized floor care services help protect floors from damage, extending their lifespan and preserving their appearance and functionality over time.

By investing in comprehensive floor care services tailored to the specific needs of South Florida’s buildings, property owners and managers can protect their flooring investments and maintain a clean, safe, and inviting environment for employees, customers, and visitors alike. With proper care and maintenance, floors in commercial buildings can withstand the demands of South Florida’s busy landscape and continue to serve as a foundation for success for years to come.
